EDI and Electronic Order Management

BDI works with our customers to develop a seamless and efficient order and payment process utilizing EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) and other customer specific formats. Along with streamlined order processing, BDI also creates a "contract" pricing agreement that eliminates a customer's need to get multiple prices each time they acquire a product. Prices are agreed upon and loaded into both systems in advance. This saves tremendous time in the sourcing and quoting process.

Top 5 Reasons to Implement EDI with BDI:

  1. Remove document re-keying
  2. Eliminate paper
  3. Reduce Lead Times and Inventory
  4. Increase the Quality of trading relationship
  5. Reduced Transaction Costs

Additionally, BDI evaluates the historical usage and inventory to determine consolidation opportunities where many other smaller suppliers only supply a limited range of products that can be eliminated. This ultimately rsults in fewer sales people filling up a customer's lobby and eating away at valuable production time.

BDI also offers our customers the ability to place orders and view any order online via our e-commerce website. BDI matchs our customer part numbers to our manufacturer part numbers for easy lookup and reference.
